An der Eröffnung im Counter Space findet mit Stefan Pente ein Walk zum ehemaligen Kunsthof statt. Hierbei wird er verschiedene Orte performativ aktivieren.

Mit nichts dahinter (1993) realisierte Stefan Pente die erste künstlerische Arbeit im ehemaligen Kunsthof Zürich und läutete damit die 20 Jahre andauernde Ausstellungs- tätigkeit (1993 – 2013) des Kunstortes ein. In einem städtischen Aussenraum beherbergte die 180m2 grosse Baulücke, die sich in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Hauptbahnhof befindet, zahlreiche künstlerische Projekte nationaler und internationaler Kunstschaffender. Stefan Pentes Arbeit entstand in einer Zeit, in der nach der Räumung des «Needle Park» am Platzspitz verschiedene Interessensgruppen den Kreis 5 intensiv vereinnahmten und die tiefgreifende Veränderung des Quartiers prägten.

At the opening of the exhibition at Counter Space a walk together with Stefan Pente will take place, leading to the former Kunsthof. During the walk he will performatively activate different places along the way.

With nichts dahinter (1993) Stefan Pente realised the first work at the former Kunsthof Zurich and marked the starting point of the art space's 20 years of ongoing exhibition activities (1993 – 2013). The 180m 2 gap, situated in an urban outdoor setting close to the main station, provided space for numerous artistic projects by national and international artists. Stefan Pente’s work emerged in a time when the clearance of the «Needle Park» at Platzspitz was followed by different interest groups taking over the district 5 and influencing the profound changes of this district.
